Sleep Apnea affects your health in many negative ways. If left untreated it can eventually cause Cardiovascular Disease, Diabetes, Stroke, or even sudden death, as well as many other health-related symptoms. Currently, if you suffer from OSA, many symptoms are easily recognizable. The most common include loud, chronic snoring; excessive daytime sleepiness and high blood pressure. Other symptoms include being jolted awake or waking up out of breath; restless sleep cycles; difficulty falling or staying asleep; early morning headaches; sexual disfunction and decreased-sex drive; memory problems; irritability and social problems; dental symptoms; and acid reflux or GERD. If a patient is clinically overweight, it increases the likelihood of having OSA.
